    Engine losing coolant from overflow. Bubbling heard after shut down then coolant leak visible upon returning yo car. Didn’t overheat. Had been running fine. Radiator cap broken. Replaced Radiator cap.Topped up cooling system. Keep under observation

    28/04/2023 7.30pm
    Second call out today. Noted cooling system has overpressurised and discharged into overflow tank and overheated, member noted and shut down vehicle just over half temp. Incorrect pressure cap fitted on previous event today. Requires 16 psi cap however suspect different reason for overheat but no other leaks noted. Cooling system only needed small top up approx. 200ml. So added fluid. engine had been off for 2 hours plus. However Member added est same about an 1.5hrs after overheating prior to requesting call out. Followed member home and advised to check temperature the whole way. Est 5min travel which temp maintained stable. Further workshop testing advised. Advised to tow to repairer.

    Issue Information:
    The cooling system will require testing and possible repair. Any coolant or
    water used to temporarily top up the system will require immediate flushing and replacement to prevent future cooling system inefficiencies. Replace incorrect radiator cap and advise further investigation due to your vehicle overheating, unseen damage may have occurred to internal engine components, including but not limited to, the thermostat, the cylinder head gasket or the Engine Overheated cylinder head itself.

    Body is fairly straight except for a broken fog light lense ,and the usual nicks and scratches ,no rust or clear coat failure .
    The car ignition key and remote are suspected of being stolen.The car is unlocked so the park break and hand break can be disingaged to load up onto the flat bed. Due to not having the keys ,steering wheel can’t be turned but the wheels are currently pointing straight ,facing out the driveway .

    I live in Kadina but can come down to Adelaide on the weekend if needed.
    I have a 2007 Ford Fiesta, manual, A/C. Just had the oil changed and everything checked. The only thing is the engine light is on and the mechanics reckoned it is the Ignition Coil and possibly a spark plug lead (will cost about 350 to fix). I didn’t want to get it fixed just to sell it but if I need to please let me know and I can do that.
